While working toward my architecture degree at Penn State, I fell in love with building things with my hands, and found myself spending hours in the wood shop, learning the value of good design and craftsmanship.  A decade of flipping houses, followed by years as a home inspector has ingrained a love of homes and an acute sense of how things should (and shouldn't) be done.

What Makes Homework Different?

We are fascinated by the anthropology of good design. For example- the way the kitchen shifted from simply a place to prepare food to a gathering place for friends and family, has completely changed the way kitchens are designed.  Kitchens used to be designed strictly for utility, now they are designed as social spaces.

There is even science behind how the color we choose to paint a room can affect our mood when we're inside it.
